North Quarter Lane Chambers would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Law Clerk Zachary Frazer for receiving the 2019 New Colombo Plan Scholarship. The New Colombo Plan Scholarship is aimed at deepening Australia’s relationships with the Indo-Pacific region. This scholarship is funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and valued at up to $69,000.
Zachary is utilising this scholarship to complete a university exchange program in Semester 2 of this year at India’s Jindal Global University in Sonipat, north of New Delhi. He is very excited for this opportunity and hopes to become better versed in the Indian legal profession and to build relationship with his peers. “India’s such an important trading partner for Australia, it’s so important for Australia’s future, but there’s a bit of a void there in terms of young lawyers being versed on India. It’s an untapped resource.”
