James Hughes has a general commercial practice.
James was previously a Senior Associate at Allens where he specialised in commercial litigation and insolvency, acting for a wide range of corporate and government clients.
Having practised as a solicitor since 2006, he has substantial experience in commercial disputes and litigation in a broad variety of areas including banking, securities enforcement, insolvency and debt recovery, and leasing, construction, planning, property, and mining disputes.
James has appeared in commercial matters both led and unled in all Queensland Courts and the Federal Court of Australia.
James has a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours and was awarded the University Medal for Law (Griffith University, 2005).
