Bridget O’Brien has a general commercial litigation and administrative law practice.
She has a particular interest in property, banking and consumer law and has appeared as counsel in Queensland’s Court of Appeal, Supreme and District Courts as well as in the Full Federal and Federal Courts.
She formerly worked for Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) and Cooper Grace Ward Lawyers in Brisbane and Simmons & Simmons LLP in London including in commercial litigation and financial markets litigation teams. While at Mallesons, she was briefly seconded to an ASX 100 company as in-house legal counsel advising on trade practices, intellectual property and a range of commercial law matters.
Bridget regularly presents at the Bar Practice Course, is a member of the Bar Association of Queensland’s Pro Bono Committee and is a volunteer barrister for the Caxton Legal Centre.
